Just a little bit about yourself?
Besides coding, I love to get outdoors. ATV'ing, 4x4, or just offroading in general is exhilerating! I also like to swim, run, work-out, and lift weights. I love to listen to music as well. Some great bands I listen to are Metallica, Godsmack, Soil, Breaking Benjamin, and Linkin Park.
How did you get interested in coding?
My friend Zach first got me into HTML when I was in 3rd grade. At the time, I knew nothing about computers, but being as arrogant as I am, I bet him that I knew more about computers that he did. Of course, I didn't know that he knew just about everything hardware wise being that his dad worked for Gateway. So, I lost, but I did make a new friendship that day and later in the month, he tought me HTML. From there I branched into PHP and the beyond.
What do you least enjoy about coding?
The bugs! You can't ever get away from them, they just keep scouring in and find a way to break your code.
What do you enjoy most about coding?
The pleasure of knowing I created something robust and other users can enjoy and use the program with luxury. Oh, and that I made it and no one else did :P!
Do you write code as a hobby, or because you have to for work?
Both, I write my own code for myself as a hobby, but I code ASP.NET C#/VB for work. So it's a win - win in my world.
How did you learn how to write code?
My friend Zach for HTML. For all my other languages, I learned it myself just by looking at tutorials and other codes to see how it was formed and put together. It's the best way to do it.
Do you have a speciality in a specific area of coding, if so please explain?
Putting it together! But if you really want to know... Relational databases and true (OOL) Object Oriented Language Programming.

Cinjection ( Oleksi Derkatch )
Agreed. I think it's just a matter of different names and whatnot. I can't wait to actually work in the field. Should be fun. I live for this stuff.
Cinjection ( Oleksi Derkatch )
Likewise. I would love to have an advanced degree in Computer Science or something. I would also love to study something like heuristics or AI in university. I don't know if you can get a Masters in Artificial Intelligence, but if you could, I would love to do that.

This would be after I get a nice job somewhere working as a programmer or as a software architect.
Cinjection ( Oleksi Derkatch )
Hmm. Maybe. I know that there are courses that you can take involving AI as part of a CS degree, but they're electives and not mandatory.
