WANTED: Experienced web app engineer …


Spread the word ! We are looking for an EXPERIENCED WEB APP ENGINEER to join our development team. Someone that embraces Web 2 culture and latest Internet technologies. If you stayed up late to watch the #chirp conference streamed live on the web, come work with us!

Challenges you’ll take on:
• Develop a set of RESTful APIs to integrate paper.li with multiple external services
• Write front-end code in Ruby, HTML/CSS, and Javascript
• Implement new features and optimize existing ones from controller-level to UI
• Continuously tune performance and scalability of the paper.li service
• Go on bug fixing guerrilla missions
• Participate to usability discussions and look for ways to make paper.li better

What you bring to the table:
• Pro-active and eager to make immediate and large contributions
• Demonstrable experience building world-class consumer web apps
• Solid experience in Ruby and Javascript
• Experience with Rails and JQuery. Java is a plus.
• Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
• Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, HTML and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with agile programming methodologies
• Fluency in the nginx/Rails/MySQL/*nix stack. Experience with Amazon EC2 a plus…
• Fluency in English (our “corporate” language)
