EXPERIENCED WEB APP ENGINEER
Challenges you’ll take on:
- Develop a set of RESTful APIs to integrate paper.li with multiple external services
- Write front-end code in Ruby, HTML/CSS, and Javascript
- Implement new features and optimize existing ones from controller-level to UI
- Continuously tune performance and scalability of the paper.li service
- Go on bug fixing guerrilla missions
- Participate to usability discussions and look for ways to make paper.li better
What you bring to the table:
- Pro-active and eager to make immediate and large contributions
- Demonstrable experience building world-class consumer web apps
- Solid experience in Ruby and Javascript
- Experience with Rails and JQuery. Java is a plus.
- Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
- Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, HTML and cross-browser compatibility
- Familiarity with agile programming methodologies
- Fluency in the nginx/Rails/MySQL/*nix stack. Experience with Amazon EC2 a plus…
- Fluency in English (our “corporate” language)
WEB DEVELOPER

What you bring to the table:
- Fluency in Javascript/HTML/CSS/Ajax coding skills
- Good programming skills in Ruby, Java a plus
- Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility
- Good understanding of web technologies (HTTP, Apache) and familiarity with Unix/Linux
- Experience with Amazon EC2 a plus
- Visual-design skills
- Active user of Twitter and other Web 2.0 services
