Open Source JavaScript Libraries Judges

The Judges will be choosing from the three Open Source JavaScript Libraries that received the most nominations, during the nomination stage. They will be selecting their winner, first runner-up and second runner-up based on a number of factors including ease of use, performance, usability, size of and support from community, adoption in other applications, customization/plug in flexibility, effects and animations ability, ease of navigation. The judging panel is made up from a list of experienced and respected figures in the open source and AJAX application industry:

 

Michael Kimsal

Michael Kimsal Michael Kimsal has spent 15 years in the web development world, starting with Perl in late 1995 and PHP in early 1996, then working with ASP, ColdFusion, Java and most recently Ruby and Groovy. Michael currently runs WebDev Publishing, which publishes PDF publications such as GroovyMag and JSMag, produces the indieconf conference for independent web professionals, runs the WebDev Radio podcast series, and is an occasional speaker at regional technology conferences and user groups. He can be found in and around the RDU Triangle area, running the regional PHP/MySQL user group, or meeting with other area tech folk. He currently lives in Youngsville with his wife and three cats.

 

 

Michael Mahemoff

Michael Mahemoff 

Michael Mahemoff is a Chrome Developer Advocate for Google, based in London, always looking at ways to make the web a more habitable place for users and developers alike. He's been programming on the web since the mid '90s, in a range of public-facing and enterprise (Java, what else?) contexts, and is the author of Ajax Design Patterns (O'Reilly, 2006) and a blogger for Ajaxian.com. Server side, he's mostly a Ruby, PHP, and NodeJS guy, and sushi is his preferred coding fuel. Frank W. Zammetti

Frank W. Zammetti

Frank W. Zammetti is a senior developer/architect for a major U.S. financial company by day and founder/chief architect of his own company, Etherient, by night. Frank has authored six books and a number of articles for various publications on topics including JavaScript, Dojo, DWR and Palm's webOS. Frank is a contributor to, and founder of, a number of open-source projects including Struts, Apache Commons, DataVision, PocketFrog and Java Web Parts.
