Function Description
DIMENSION Returns the dimension of the object.
Possible results:
-1 for an empty object
0 for a point (length = 0, width = 0)
1 for a line (length > 0, width = 0)
2 for a polygon, etc. (length > 0, width > 0)
ENVELOPE Returns the bounding box of the geometric object. The result has the data type POLYGON.
GEOMETRYTYPE Returns the type of the geometric object as a character string (POINT, LINESTRING, POLYGON,...).
SRID Returns the identifier of the coordinate system.
