This is a free, community driven Q&A for professional programmers interested in conceptual questions about software development. It is a part of the Stack Exchange network of Q&A websites, and it was created through the open democratic process defined at Stack Exchange Area 51.

Who are the moderators?
We believe moderation starts with the community itself, so in addition to privileges earned through reputation, we periodically hold democratic moderator elections. If the site is not yet large enough to support an election, we will appoint likely moderators from within the community.
