Windows 8 Application Walk-Through: How to Build a Simple Game with HTML5 & JavaScript Part One

This blog post is the first of several designed to help walk you through, step-by-step, how to build a simple game in Windows 8 using JavaScript. This particular set of tutorials will use JavaScript, HTML5, WinJS, and some other resources (http://createjs.com/#!/CreateJS).

The game is based on the XNA sample game "Catapult Wars Lab". We’ll reuse the assets from that game as we develop a new version for Windows 8 that’s based on web technologies.

This game focuses on simplicity, so there are a number of intermediate techniques that aren't used in this sample.
