Stream เปรีย บเสมือ นท่อ ส่ง ข้อ มูล จากต้น ทาง (source) ไปยัง ปลายทาง (sink) stream ช่ว ยทำา ให้ผ ู้เ ขีย นโปรแกรม ไม่จ ำา เป็น ต้อ งทราบรายละเอีย ดการติด ต่อ กับ ฮาร์ด แวร์ห รือ ซอฟต์แ วร์ท ี่ใ ช้ใ นการส่ง ข้อ มูล เพีย งแต่ต ้อ งรู้ เมธอดทีใ ช้ใ นการรับ หรือ ส่ง ข้อ มูล ่ sourceเป็น ตำา แหน่ง เริ่ม ต้น ของ stream เรีย กว่า input stream เป็น ตำา แหน่ง สิ้น สุด ของ stream เรีย กว่า sink output stream

Stream source หรือ sink อาจเป็น ฮาร์ด แวร์ห รือ ซอฟต์แ วร์ เช่น ไฟล์ หน่ว ยความจำา หรือ socket เป็น ต้น ภาษาจาวาแบ่ง stream ออกเป็น • byte stream • character stream คำา ว่า stream โดยทัว ไปจะหมายถึง byte ่ stream reader และ writer จะหมายถึง character stream

คลาสประเภท Byte Stream ภาษาจาวาจะมีค ลาสพืน ฐานในการจัด การกับ ้ อิน พุต และเอาท์พ ต ทีเ ป็น ชนิด ข้อ มูล แบบ byte อยู่ ุ ่ สองคลาสทีค ู่ก น คือ InputStream และ OutputStream ่ ั คลาสทัง สองเป็น คลาสแบบ abstract ้ ซึ่ง เราไม่ สามารถทีจ ะสร้า งออปเจ็ค ของคลาสทัง สองได้ แต่ ่ ้ คลาสทัง สองจะมีค ลาสทีเ ป็น subclass ซึ่ง จะใช้ ้ ่ ในการสร้า งออปเจ็ค สำา หรับ การรับ และส่ง ข้อ มูล แบบ byte ของโหนดทีม ต ้น ทางและปลายทางแบบ ่ ี ต่า งๆอาทิเ ช่น • FileInputStream และ FileOutputStream เป็น คลาสที่ใ ช้ใ น การสร้า ง ออปเจ็ค สำา หรับ ต้น ทางและปลายทางที่เ ป็น ไฟล์ • ByteArrayInputStream และ ByteArrayOutputStream เป็น

คลาส InputStream คลาส InputStream จะใช้ใ นการอ่า นข้อ มูล ของ stream ทีเ ป็น ชนิด ข้อ มูล แบบ byte ่ คลาส InputStream จะนำา ข้อ มูล จากโหนดต้น ทาง เข้า มาใน stream และการอ่า นข้อ มูล จาก stream จะเป็น การลบข้อ มูล ทีอ ่า นออกจาก ่ stream โดยมีเ มธอดทีใ ช้ส ำา หรับ การอ่า นข้อ มูล ที่ ่ เป็น byte หรือ อะเรย์ข อง byte เท่า นัน ดัง นี้ ้ • int read() • int read(byte []b) • int read(byte []b,int offset,int length)

คลาส OutputStream คลาส OutputStream จะใช้ก ารส่ง ข้อ มูล ของ stream ทีเ ป็น ชนิด ข้อ มูล แบบ byte การส่ง ข้อ มูล ่ ของออบเจ็ค ชนิด Outputstream จะเป็น การเพิม ่ ข้อ มูล ลงใน stream คลาส OutputStream จะมีเ มธอดในการส่ง ข้อ มูล ชนิด byte ทีส อดคล้อ งกับ เมธอด read() ในคลาส ่ InputStream โดยคลาสนีจ ะมีเ มธอด write() ทีเ ป็น ้ ่ เมธอดแบบ abstract ในรูป แบบต่า งๆดัง นี้ • void write(int c) • void write(byte []b) • void write(byte []b,int offset,int length)
