User password display in SQL Server
I am trying to find out which password I have assigned to the user schema on my SQL Server 2000. I know that you can change the password, but I've had some grief with that application in the past. I know where the password is stored, but it is in encrypted format. Is there any way of displaying the current password?

I know where the password is stored, but it is in encrypted format. Is there any way of displaying the current password?
There isn't a method to reverse the password stored by SQL Server. If you're using mixed mode, you might be able to use a network sniffer to see the password zoom by on the wire, but your best bet is to change the password and deal with the consequences.
