I've been teaching myself python and django for a couple of years, but I don't seem to find many entry-level python jobs in the UK. If I'm looking to begin a career in programmming / web development, and don't have a CS degree, would I be better off trying to learn and find a job using another language, and then lookign at Python/django opportunities once I've got some more professional experience?
(I know people will say "you should be able to work in any language", but Python is just so nice compared to PHP for example. I acknowledge that "program in any language" is good advice, but I'd still love to get a job concentrating on Python if I can.)
