I have been examining the information displayed in the mod_jk status page for a server instance and there is a column for each worker titled "CE" which the key states is a count of "Client Errors". I currently have a count of 24 client errors, does anybody know what actually constitudes a "client error" in mod_jk and is it something I should be worried about?

Why are you still using mod_jk? I'd recommend switching to mod_proxy and running tomcat to server http, but on a different port. – Stephen Ostermiller Apr 22 at 22:07
