Lately I was reading a lot, how easy it is to set up a custom restful api with slimPHP and I know that drupal services can be kind of complex. So i was thinking why not setup my restful api next to drupal and let it bootstrap drupal if necessary.

I haven't tested anything and just kind of thinking loud here... is that a good idea or just completely retarded?
