DataGrid::DeleteCommand Event

Occurs when the Delete button is clicked for an item in the DataGrid control.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
public:
 event DataGridCommandEventHandler^ DeleteCommand {
	void add (DataGridCommandEventHandler^ value);
	void remove (DataGridCommandEventHandler^ value);
}
<asp:DataGrid OnDeleteCommand="DataGridCommandEventHandler" />

The DeleteCommand event is raised when the Delete button is clicked for an item in the DataGrid control.

A typical handler for the DeleteCommand event removes the selected item from the data source and then rebinds the data to the DataGrid control.

For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.

The following code example demonstrates how to specify and code a handler for the DeleteCommand event to delete an item from the DataGrid control.
