Take charge of your digital life

Youth today spend half of their waking hours using technology, which helps to define and shape their identities and relationships. You may feel that you don’t have the technical savvy they do, but not to worry—these materials, created for delivery to “tweens” and teens, supply a handful of pointers that rely on common sense and basic computer safety practices.

PresentationTake Charge of Your Digital Life
A 21-slide PowerPoint presentation, with thorough talking points and speaker notes, that requires no expertise in Internet safety. Depending on the involvement of the young people in your group, the presentation could take 45 minutes to an hour. To introduce and illustrate each online safety point, you’ll tell a story, show a video, or present some statistics. Then you’ll interact with tweens and teens by getting their answers to some questions, and finally, summarize the highlights of their answers.
