New 1-Click Installer for Windows Azure Tools for Microsoft Visual Studio
The Windows Azure Downloads page now has a 1-click installer for Windows Azure Tools for Microsoft Visual Studio that uses Microsoft Web Platform Installer (WebPI). The new installer takes care of everything you need to start developing applications for Windows Azure, including downloading and installing the free Visual Web Developer 2010 if you don't have Visual Studio 2010 installed.

New Windows Azure Cloud Services Support Lifecycle Policy Released
Microsoft has a new policy regarding Windows Azure Guest OS support for Cloud Services A short summary of the policy is that going forward 1. Latest two families of the Guest OS will be supported. 2. Latest version of each supported Guest OS family will be supported. 3. Latest two version of Windows Azure SDK will be supported. For more information see the page this item links to.

You can now manually choose Guest OS 3.2, 2.14, or 1.22 from the Management Portal or set it manually in the CSCFG file.
