Microsoft Certification Benefits
Born to Learn Community Blog
On April 3, MVA will launch the first in a monthly series of free, live online Q&A sessions led by members of our Microsoft technical evangelist team. Due to the popularity of the three courses we recently published to MVA covering Microsoft’s approach to virtualization, we decided to ask Senior Technical Evangelist Symon Perriman to host the first. Space is limited. Register now.
These live, audience-led discussions are geared toward IT pros who are new to virtualization, have questions about Hyper-V, or are interested in learning how to better leverage the Windows Server 2012 platform, Hyper-V and System Center 2012 SP1. Attendees can get answers to their questions on technical capabilities, get advice for using products in a live environment; and learn from their peers and industry veterans like Symon.
Symon is a Senior Technical Evangelist at Microsoft and holds several patents and certifications, including MCSE Private Cloud, Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and VMware Certified Professional (VCP). He is a recognized industry expert in datacenter management, cloud, virtualization, high-availability, disaster recovery, mobile technologies and social media. Symon has contributed to four technical books for virtualization, server, clustering and SQL; co-hosts the ‘Edge Show’ for IT Professionals; and has had technologies featured in PC Magazine.
We hope you enjoy this opportunity! Registration for MVA Live Q&A is now open: Register now.
The Microsoft Virtual Academy (MVA) team has opened registration for a new Jump Start designed for IT professionals who need to manage, monitor and automate VMware in their datacenter using System Center 2012 SP1. During this half-day Jump Start, Microsoft Technical Evangelist Symon Perriman (MCSE and VMware Certified Professional) will be joined by four different Microsoft and VMware experts during the team-taught learning experience.

This half-day course is the third in a three Jump Start series on Microsoft Virtualization. Please visit MVA to view the first two courses in the series:
We look forward to seeing online March 14 and in MVA!
This accelerated course covers C#, Microsoft’s managed C-style language for the .Net Framework. In typical Jump Start fashion, every stop of this course is example-driven. Microsoft Technical Evangelist Jerry Nixon and Crank211 co-founder, Daren May, will craft sample after sample in real time to show simple and complex techniques you can take back to your workplace. Because this course loosely follows the criteria for exam 70-483 (the first exam in the MCSD: Windows Store Apps Using C# track), it is tailored for seasoned developers looking for a refresher on core concepts and features or to bulk up on C#. As an accelerated one-day version of the five-day course, Jerry and Daren can’t completely cover a language as rich as C#, but they will spark the interest of newbies and the confidence of professionals. Buckle up, will be fun and fast-paced!
