As part of Microsoft’s longstanding commitment to privacy, we mark Data Privacy Day (DPD) every year through a variety of efforts. Held annually on January 28, DPD aims to increase awareness of privacy and data protection issues among consumers, organizations, and government officials. We know our customers want and expect strong privacy protections to be built into our products, devices and services, and for companies to be responsible stewards of consumers’ data. We’ve been focused on this area for more than 10 years as part of Trustworthy Computing at Microsoft. Our efforts in support of DPD are just the latest examples of how we take our privacy responsibilities seriously and put people first. Visit www.microsoft.com/yourprivacy to see the research that Microsoft commissioned to mark DPD 2013 and to explore the resources we developed to help consumers manage their online privacy.
