• Guaranteed performance – We reserve bandwidth on static paths across the network for every customer service to minimise latency and jitter. By doing this we optimise application performance and make sure that delay-sensitive services such as VoIP and video streaming run without any problems.
• Choice and flexibility – We support all MEF defined service topologies: E-Line (point to point), E-LAN (any to any) and E-Tree (tree type connectivity). This lets us deliver the service architecture which best matches the customer’s business organisation. Through granular bandwidth options (2Mbps to 10Gbps) customers only pay for what they need. They can also increase their bandwidth simply without needing to change equipment (CPE). Total flexibility at the customer site addresses all interface options whether copper cable (10/100/1000BaseT) or fibre optic (1000BaseSX/LX; 10GBase SR/LR).
• Transparency - The platform on which Colt Ethernet services run is transparent to all Layer 2 Control Protocols (L2CP) so customers can run their applications in the full knowledge that the network will not interfere. This applies to any VLANs the customer might use in internal network configurations.
• Reliability - Every time we configure a service path for a customer across the network we also configure a reserved protection path backed up with our comprehensive SLA. This guarantees that there is no loss of service in the unlikely event of a link failure and gives peace of mind to customers running business critical applications.
