The Embedded Ninja

Some questions are easily answered, like the square root of eighty-one or escape velocity of Earth.  Others, however, are simply absent from our ability to answer, such as the existence of ninjas.  Everyone these days seems to be talking about ninjas - ninja this and ninja that.  But really, have you ever seen one?  You might have seen one trying to be a ninja, during Halloween for instance. But the real ninjas are never seen, hiding in the shadows, and only breaking those shadows when the time is right – which is what I am doing right now.

Allow me to introduce myself.  I am The Embedded Ninja – 3rd dahn in the arts of Windows Embedded.  I’m the voice of a rather secretive clan of ninjas here at Microsoft, representing over eighty years of Microsoft tenure and decades of experience across industries like retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and banking.  And in this blog I will be sharing “Real Tales of The Embedded Ninja”.  My clan and I spend a lot of time working with customers of all facets and sizes, helping them tackle issues with embedded devices from simplistic to the most complex.  We found that these stories were often valuable to other customers – a sort of “notes from the field”.  We hope that by revealing these true-life stories that you can benefit from the lessons of others.  Like any good ninja experience and observation are the best teachers…
