What file formats does SlideShare support? What is the maximum allowed file size?

You can upload the following file formats to SlideShare:

Presentations:

  • Adobe PDF (.pdf)
  • OpenOffice Presentation Document (.odp)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt/.pps/.pptx/.ppsx/.pot/.potx)

Documents:

  • Adobe PDF (.pdf)
  • Microsoft Word (.doc/ .docx/ .rtf)
  • OpenOffice Documents (.odt)
  • most .txt files

Videos: Read FAQs for supported formats and codecs

 

The maximum file size that SlideShare allows are as follows:

Free Account (Basic)

  • Max file size for both presentations and documents: 100MB

PRO Account (any of the plans)

  • Max file size for both presentations and documents: 300MB
  • Max file size for videos: 500MB
