for SQL Server centralizes permission management for Windows security.

With the Security Explorer suite from ScriptLogic Corp., administrators can manage permissions for NTFS file and folder security, file shares, printer access, registry security and scheduled tasks, SharePoint, SQL Server and Exchange server, securing access to privileged information. Administrators can manage, search, clone, back up and recover permissions across the entire network.
Administrators can access any combination of user access rights across all instances of SQL servers and access security and permissions without using several menus. Support for Windows Server 2008 has been added to the latest version of Security Explorer for SQL Server.

Additional Security Explorer for SQL Server features include the following:
- Backup and restore Exchange permissions – Administrators can granularly backup and restore permissions on all Exchange objects, facilitating permission restores to an individual object or multiple objects simultaneously.
- Powerful Exchange permission search capabilities – Search for permissions and filter by account name, level and object types. Permissions can be modified, removed or cloned.
System requirements: Pentium 600 MHz or faster, Windows 2000 or later, Microsoft .NET Framework 2, 50 MB disk space, 256 MB memory and a screen resolution of 800 x 600.
Pricing: Security Explorer for SQL Server is priced at $999 per SQL Server with a 10% discount with five servers and a 20% discount for 10 servers.
