As a result of commissioning a new banking centre, Leumi Privat Bank (Switzerland) Ltd, founded in 1953, opted to redesign its existing data centre infrastructure to meet the latest security standards. Hospitality

ABBA Hotels uses Colt’s scalable solution to centralize their telecommunication services to all hotels in a single data centre. 

Louvre Hotels Group is the second largest hotel chain in Europe, with 920 hotels ranging from budget to luxury brands. Working with Colt since 2002, Colt solutions are used to underpin their critical application for more effective business performance; as well as provide WiFi, international call services and innovative booking and check-in services for their customers.

Insurance

AOK is a Health insurer in Germany with over 25 million policy holders, 56,000 employees in approximately 1,600 branches. We provided a fully supported MPLS network with provisioning, monitoring and operational responsibility for their web-based communication platform, using two Colt high security data centres.

Neversa eG is an insurance service provider in Germany. Colt implemented cloud based services in conjunction with IP-based data and voice transmission. All relevant software applications are provided “on demand”.

With Colt’s Enterprise Cloud, S-4 has been able to define a pay-per-use model for cloud-based applications that can be accessed using site-to-site VPNs or secure SSL protocols.  Their users can access the cloud from anywhere, which enables S-4 to address a much broader range of potential customers.

Legal

Bird & Bird, a rapidly growing international law firm needed a low latency hosting and network infrastructure to support its IT systems. Colt’s combined data centre and Ethernet solution has delivered minimal latency with maximum flexibility. 

Studio Torta, one of Italy’s leading intellectual property consultancies, is well aware of the risk management requirements associated with storing its clients’ patents, industrial designs, trademarks and other proprietary data and technical documentation. Colt installed a dedicated, fully Redundant, high-speed connection between Studio Torta’s head office and the Colt data centre in Turin, implemented synchronisation services that ensure data is constantly replicated across the two locations, and put a disaster recovery plan in place.

Manufacturing / FMCG

BAT Germany rely on Colt’s IP VPN for permanent, secure connectivity between its head office in Hamburg, its manufacturing facility in Bayreuth, and other sites in Germany; and for access to centralised systems and data at its third-party data centres in Frankfurt. Colt offers the ability to connect the Vienna-based head office of British American Tobacco (Austria) GmbH over a Colt-owned network link with no need to use a third-party provider.

Gallina Blanca Star is a European FMCG company who is understanding the increasing importance of technology, to share customer data into valuable insight back into the business.  After deciding to stop investing in hardware with high CAPEX financial investment, Gallina Blanca Star chose Colt as their infrastructure partner with a pay as you go (PAYG) framework so to be able to adapt to the changing needs of the business. Public Sector

Consorci AOC expands e-government in the Spanish region of Catalonia. The Catalan administrations provide a wide range of online services enabling activities such as exploring and analysing publicly available data, finding information, setting up associations, paying traffic fines and reporting petty thefts. Over the past 10 years, extranet services and other forms of electronic communications have more or less replaced postal services across Catalonia's public sector, leading to considerable cost savings. Consolidating infrastructure with Colt cuts Consorci AOC's colocation costs by over 30% while simplifying IT management and increasing productivity.

CTTI manages the technology and telecommunications for Generalitat de Catalunya in Spain.  For the last 8 years, CTTI has worked with Colt, and following the success of this relationship, the contract has just been extended for another 6 years, to connect the 6000 buildings of the government 12 departments, including Police, Justice etc. Colt helps CTTI manage the LAN and WAN network, to ensure the highest availability across the business, and to enable 25% budget reduction as part of the transformation project currently being rolled out across the Generalitat de Catalunya. HTM is a public transport operator based in the Netherlands, carrying nearly 130 million passengers a year. Colt connects their data centres and major offices with a high-speed highly reliable network.

VERA  serves around 85% of the local government organisations in Belgium's Flemish Brabant province. Many of these organisations are too small to justify having their own in-house ICT teams. The Cloud Infrastructure Service's pay-as-you-grow charging model lets VERA pay only for the capacity it uses. With no need for capital investment in servers and other infrastructure elements, the company can budget more easily and make more effective use of its funding resources.

Leroy Merlin knows when not to do-it-yourself. Colt frees home improvement leader to focus on business transformation. Together Colt’s infrastructure and networking services have enabled Leroy Merlin to devote their time to customer service and business evolution across their 47 Italian stores.

Nectar Italia’s loyalty scheme launched in 2010; today it serves over 10 million users. Consumers earn points for purchases that can be redeemed on rewards, or used as discounts with participating retailers. Nectar Italia’s systems must be capable of handling a high number of transactions from a growing base of retailers, with nearly 6,000 point of sale systems. Colt played an important role in Nectar Italia’s rapid expansion from start-up to household name, and continues to facilitate business growth with robust, flexible IT infrastructure and networking services.

Transport

In the competitive air transport market, airlines are constantly looking to optimise their internal costs. Swiss International Airlines’s (SWISS) partnership with Colt is proving its worth in this respect. Since making the bold move to the innovative and flexible Colt VoIP solution in 2007, call costs have reduced by around 20%, while service quality has gone up.
