Manual:Tools

Various tools are available for editing the wiki. Most of these take the form of scripts, they may be javascript intended to be added to a user or site common.js to modify the behavior of the mediawiki software in a browser, or they may be scripts in an interpretive programming language such as Python, PHP, or Perl, intended to be run on a users computer and to assist in editing a mediawiki wiki. The latter may include bots.
