There are two options for a Java ME Embedded platform:

Oracle Java ME Embedded - a CLDC-based runtime targeted for use on highly memory constrained devices (<1MB)
Oracle Java ME Embedded Client - a CDC-based runtime targeted for use on devices with slightly higher memory capacity (<10mb)

NEW Release: Oracle Java ME Embedded 8 Early Access

Oracle Java ME Embedded 8 Early Access is an implementation of the evolving Java ME 8 standard, and includes support of alignment with Java SE 8 language features and APIs, an enhanced "services-enabled" application platform, the ability to "right-size" the platform to address a wide range of target devices down to 192 KB RAM, and more. Oracle Java ME Embedded version 3.3 and 3.4

Oracle Java ME Embedded 3.3 offers embedded application platform functionality such as peripheral IO, AMS operations, headless operations, remote application management/configurability on a set of popular development boards. Application development for these platforms could be done using Java ME SDK 3.4. Java ME Embedded 3.3 is available as a reference implementation for the platforms listed in the table below.

Oracle Java ME Embedded 3.4 is an update to version 3.3 which supports the Qualcomm IoE platform.

This version is a headless version of the Oracle Java Micro Edition Embedded Client 1.1.1 implementation. It includes CDC 1.1.2, Foundation 1.1.2 and the Security Optional Package 1.0.1
