Gandi Domain Instructions

This article contains instructions on how to configure your domain to about.me.

First, login to your Gandi account (gandi.net/login)

After logging in, click on the DNS Zones tab. 

Then click "Default Gandi zone file".

Now click "copy this zone to edit". You can leave the default name and continue. 

In the first row, click the pencil icon. 

*Note: skip this step if you are mapping a subdomain.

Paste 54.214.5.242 into the value field. Click Submit. 

*Note: skip this step if you are mapping a subdomain.

Now look for the row beginning with 'www'. Click the 'x' to delete the row. 

Next, click the Add button. 

Next, change the Type drop-down menu to CNAME. 

Then enter 'www' into the Name field. 

*Note: For a subdomain, enter the subdomain here in place of 'www'. 

Enter 'about.me.' into the Value field. Don't forget to end with a period. 

Next click Submit.

To finish, click Use this version.
