Name.com Domain Instructions

This article contains instructions on how to configure your domain to about.me.

To begin, login to your name.com account (https://www.name.com/account/login)

Next, click on 'account'. 

In your account, you will see your domains. For the domain you are configuing to about.me, click the drop-down arrow in the 'Action' column, and then select DNS Record Management.

Paste 54.214.5.242 into the Answer field, leaving the Host field blank. Next, click 'Add Record'. 

*Note: For configuring a subdomain, skip this step and do not add an A Record.

A new row will appear. Use the selector to the left to choose CNAME in the Type column. Add 'www' into the Host column, and 'about.me' into the answer column. 

*Note: For configuring a subdomain, add a CNAME record in which 'www' is replaced by your subdomain.

Next click Add Record. 

Your screen should look just like the image below, but with your domain in place of jacobhartog.me

*Note: It may take as long as 24 hours for the changes to occur.
