2013 has been a busy year for Colt as we continued to work with our customers and partners to shape our services around the business challenges they face. We’ve taken some significant strides this year, including enhancing our Ethernet capabilities, developing our channel strategy and expanding our enterprise cloud footprint across Europe and Asia. As the year draws to a close, we’re thrilled to have been recognised by the industry for our commitment to helping our customers become more competitive and operate more efficiently with a series of prestigious awards announced in the last month.
Spain’s prestigious ComunicacionesHoy awards brought together 120 industry executives to reward excellence in IT and communications. We were up against some stiff competition, so we are delighted that our security solution, Colt IP Guardian, won the award in the security category. It was praised for cutting-edge design and functionality, which safeguards enterprises from security attacks.
Other highlights from last month’s awards season included the Capacity Awards and the Metro Ethernet Forum’s (MEF) annual Carrier Ethernet Awards. It was great to see that the hard work we’ve put into developing our wholesale and Ethernet offerings has paid off.
At Capacity Awards, Colt was named the Best pan-European Wholesale Provider, with the judges – including analysts from IDC, Infonetics, Vertical Systems, Gartner, Frost & Sullivan and Ovum – recognising the development of Colt’s indirect channel strategy, the launch of our cloud storage service for VARs as well as the strength of our 100G Ethernet offering.
This is the ninth consecutive year that Colt has been recognised by the MEF, with awards in three categories: Service Provider of the Year in EMEA, Best Wholesale Ethernet Service and Best Carrier Ethernet Business Application.
Given the many innovations we’ve seen in the IT and telecoms industry as a whole we’re thrilled to have been recognised by our peers for our services. We now look forward to 2014 as we continue to develop our solutions focussed on our customers’ needs.
