How to add custom php code in Wordpress text widget

Question

I cant make my PHP code work when I add it in WordPress text widget (without plugin). The same code works on main (index.php) , but not in widget. I searched for this question and found the answer - which says me to add the code in the end of the functions.php file, so I did but afterwards on the top of the header I mentioned the text I've just pasted in function file.

You can't include php code in text widgets from the Wordpress admin panel by default.

You've added far too much code in your question (instead of just including the relevant snippets - use pastbin for full contents of files).

But you can add the ability to include php in text widgets by adding the following in your theme's functions.php file.

add_filter('widget_text', 'enable_php_code', 99);

function enable_php_code ($text) {
    if (strpos($text, '<' . '?') !== false) {
    ob_start();
    eval('?' . '>' . $text);
    $text = ob_get_contents();
    ob_end_clean();
    }
return $text;
}

Or try this function with explanation here:-

Is it enough to add at the end of the file or should I insert inside <?php ?> ? functions.php ends like that: <?php } – Gio Mar 24 at 10:15

I just added, no error, but nothing changes, I still get the same contact form like in the image. (PHP still not working) – Gio Mar 24 at 10:25

First, try something more simpler such as <?php echo '<p>Hello World</p>'; ?> just to see if php is being executed. If it is, then the problem is your code above, if it isn't, try the new function I've just added to my answer and retest. – zigojacko Mar 24 at 10:42
