Design

With the new portfolio of context-aware Nokia Lumia devices, enabled by Nokia SensorCore technology, we’re empowering consumers to get more out of their lives with mobile data.

Entertainment
The Nokia MixRadio music-streaming service boasts a catalogue that’s both deep and wide. The free service is a leader in several large markets, including India.

Location
HERE Maps is the platform of choice for many automotive-map apps, Microsoft Bing maps, and, of course, every Nokia product with Windows Phone, where it’s coupled with developer-friendly APIs.

Bigger with Windows Phone 8.1

Windows Phone 8.1 brings with it a whole host of updates, improvements and new APIs, which are now 80 per cent converged with desktop Windows APIs. The API convergence creates unique new opportunities for you to address both environments with a single tool chain, even with shared projects and code.

Updates in Windows Phone 8.1 include the new Action Center, business features, Internet Explorer 11 with pinnable Live Tiles, WinJS, Social Apps, Contracts, and even more opportunities to surface your app in user context.

Windows Phone UserVoice is a popular channel through which developers and consumers alike provide feedback on Windows Phone features, and the 8.1 release shows Microsoft is listening. For example, Quick Actions, Start screen changes, SD card storage for apps – which are now available in Windows Phone 8.1 – were among the top requested features.
