SQL Server 2005 disk array
The only additional piece of advice I can recommend for SQL Server 2005 is to ensure that tempdb is on the fastest disks available. Thanks to new features such as shapshot isolation, tempdb will encounter even greater stress than it does in SQL Server 2000 installations. Test carefully when upgrading and make sure it can handle the extra load.
