I am preparing for a telephone interview. I am thinking that instead of trying to memorize SOLID or ACID for example I could have some cheat notes ready.

So:

  1. Any tips on how to organize them?

  2. Where to find material for .NET, OO, DB (Both Oracle and SQL Server).

It should be easy to find/read the information by looking at the paper/screen, also I need some way to look it up.

(Cheat Sheets in IT context seems usually to be something else - like condensed information to keep next to you while you are working.)

I would allways prefer Cheat Notes, but in my experiance its hard to use them during the call :-) But buidling your own Cheat Sheet is maybe the best training for the interview.

There is a book I would like to recommend. Programming Interviews Exposed: Secrets to Landing Your Next Job. Most of the questions I have been asked were from this book and I know some companies which uses this one.

Good other resources for other resources is the .net library (MSDN) for sure. But don't overcharge your head with stuff they would never ask. They wan't to see that you understand the basics. Most first interviews were done by Human Ressources without a bigger knwoledge. Sometimes the second one is done by the team leader and there they would allways ask for topics which are very important for the position you are applying for.
