Is there any way to use the module for unicode encoded wikipedia, under windows?

I understand that this has been deprecated. I take that to mean that another script does this better/faster/moire cleanly? If so, can we get a hint as to what? I need this functionality, but do not know if this script is safe to use, or what. Some help would be nice. I can be reached at jdelliott a t g m a i l dot c o m

I too would like to know what has replaced touch.py and touchall.py I have a script which does some work directly in the database and then uses touch.py to force the pages to be shown as edited. I assume that one of the main scripts now does this work but which one?

I could use a touch a category option[edit]

Maintenance category Commons:Category:Creator templates without home category is always full of templates which are no longer in that category, and which stay there for weeks. As a result it is hard to find templates that actually need attention. I am a new user of pywikipediabot and novice to python. Can someone add category option to this script, so I can clear the category before maintenance. --Jarekt 02:42, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
