In 9 mos of grounded , I've spent a lot of time helping people create content in addition to my own. We're living in an age of content-as-a-commodity, but there's also a flight to quality. 🧵 Here's a thread on what I've been learning about creating quality content.

In this era of "being the best", we need to stop chasing the perfect. Ever heard of "being over-ambitious"? Ever gave a thought why it's negative? But how did we get here? How to get out of this? Everybody knows that the obvious answer to this is to have a balance.

5 things every front end developer should know in 2021: 1. Keeping up with everything is pointless. 2. It takes years before knowing if a tech might stick. 3. You don’t need all the skills listed on job opportunities. 4. Empathy > Technology 5. Tech Twitter tells a lot of crap.

“Read that Uber has lots of microservices - we’ll follow the same with our startup.” Actually, Uber was a giant monolith the first 3-4 years. The code was... meh. The architecture came after the 🚀growth started. Focus on shipping. Worry about architecture later. (Thx )

You can impress most hiring managers with only 3 contribs: 1) Something simple, built flawlessly. Seriously. Like 1 class, or a single js file. 2) Something complete. A small app / site / lib. Tests. Docs. 3) Something with a story (my fave!) Could be a single line of code.
