At the moment I think we only rely on it in two places:

Ordering of constructors
Ordering of independent let bindings

Both of these could potentially be replaced by sorting using a nameless hash or something.

(The goal here is to have our output be as stable as possible. We're already not sensitive to GHC's uniques, which is good.)
