The spec says:

If a client has access to environment variables, several standard ones exist to specify the language in which a client should operate. If not, then clients MUST make reasonable assumptions based on the information provided by the environment in which they operate (e.g. consulting navigator.languages in a browser, etc.).

Windows systems do have environment variables, but the

Things are a bit of a mess with Flambe/current Haxe version right now, so I'm posting this as assistance to anyone else who's stuck.

The only way I could get a working setup which can build both HTML and Flash without error:

  • Cleanly install Haxe version 3.1.3 (If a later version is already installed on OSX, remove /usr/lib/haxe, /usr/local/lib/haxelib, /usr/bin/haxe, /usr/bin/haxelib)
  • 'haxel
