    Excellent advice on software development. Detailed analysis of the Sherlock Holmes Canon. A lot of applied Cognitive psychology. Not a single line of code.

    This is an excellent talk by . If a tool is helping you do the difficult/complex thing easier, you should question whether that thing needs to be that complex and whether the tool is *actually* helping you.

    I think that's huge. We're not good at showing the structure that is there that guides us. People don't know the grain to follow. The best talk I know of that explains this is Programming with Hand Tools
