Ranger may be implementing this already, in which case a link to the documentation place would be appreciated.

Given that ranger starts a "preview process", pass keys, or commands, from ranger to the preview process, mangling them if necessary, and update the preview.

the main use case would be scrolling the preview, eg control (or alt) + arrows would be passed as arrows to the preview proce

I think documentation problems are as serious as coding problems.
lf(1) documentation only lists the options but do not describe most of them. It is up to the user to test by trial-and-error to find out what each option is about.

I think that adding short descriptions for the options and/or adding a section describing the options and the format of their respective values would easily fix

What should the feature do?

Indicate with an asterisk next to the header and a footnote saying "Required"

When/How would you use it?

Every time I create a ticket in SD Maid.

How would you implement it?

Indicate with an asterisk next to the header and a footnote saying "Required" so the user knows what's required input for the create issue ticket screen.

Open search by starting typing any file or directory name. Press Escape button. Now cursor in file list is "inactive" (not focused) and you'll need to press Up or Down arrow keys to get focus to it.

Another related issue is that if you press Enter key while cursor is not focused -
