In the GUI tab of Tools -> Options, the "Misc" section contains a "Show Document Icons" checkbox, which is not checked by default. When checked, each tab (the tab control) gets an icon to the left of the tab's name.

Please clarify this preference's role, either by:

  1. Moving it to the Tabs and Docking section, next to Tab Text, and renaming it something like "Show session icon"
  2. ...or

Hi @cyd01 ,

One of the most interesting advantages of KiTTY over the stock PuTTY is the portable and extended command-line support.

However, regarding the command-line parameters the current help/documentation is not very user friendly. At time it's required to read the source code and/or visit the homepage of the tool.

Then I suggest a new approach: Include a help in the binary for all

I just had an issue that I was unable to execute neither wsl-ssh-pageant or wsl-ssh-pageant-gui. Both just exited immediately, without any error message or log file produced. It was quite hard to debug and it took me some time to notice that the SSH_AUTH_SOCK file already existed. Probably some leftover from a previous run. I just deleted the file and it was working again.

This is Carlos SS testing your first version. :-)

I've detected startup BAT script "start.bat" shows so many debug information (including SSH passwords).
Is possible:

  • rename current "start.bat" to "start_debug.bat"
  • create "start.bat" with this contents:
    java -splash:icon/splash.jpg -jar SmartPutty.jar
    ?

This will give to SmartPutty a more professional image, without lots
