This would be a feature that could enhance the readability of the text in edit mode:
all "content" of the user should be horizontally aligned and leading markdowns should get a negative offset.
Example: This is how Nextcloud Notes (server app) does it:

In case of inputType password the input should be first shown as text for a glance and then hide it just like native widget acts with password field.

When I set the android:maxLength="4" to CurrencyEditText, on XML, it's no possible edit the text on activity after that.
Also I set the app:showSymbol="false".

If I put the android:maxLength="5", works fine.
