    It's a good sign if public compliance communications from a CA regularly come from at least a few different people. Means there's at least that many people who understand what's going on and are trusted to articulate facts and positions.

    Rust not having crypto libraries means I have to decide which kind of untrusted PEM and DER libraries I want to use: Do I go with openssl and gamble that the unsafe code is fine or do I use J Random Hacker’s parser that might not work on some non-trivial subset of certs?

    Reid was an amazing person. Pure kindness, energy, and optimism. Will sorely miss our long talks.

    Reid McLean left us yesterday after a 1 1/2 yr battle w/ cancer. Diagnosed 2 mos before his wife, Brigid McDonough, was also diagnosed w/ cancer. She left 6 mos ago. He loved politics, Mac, & awesome music. Thorson & I looked up to them; wanting to be like them when we grew up.
