    We at Let's Encrypt continue to push the Web to be more secure. One way we have done that recently is through multiple-perspective validation, making it more difficult for an attacker to incorrectly get a certificate by utilizing a BGP attack. More info:

    Thank you to Prateek and the team for helping us make our CA even better! More info about our collaborative research:

    This paper showed that BGP hijacks can be used to obtain bogus TLS certificates from certificate authorities. Over the last two years, we worked with to transition the multiple vantage point defense from the paper to production deployment.
