API requests break when invalid account token exists in secret

Describe the bug

If an invalid token for a local user exists in argocd-secret, the API will refuse to process any request with an error message similar to:

What are you running on?
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/84.0.4147.135 Safari/537.36

Expected behaviour?
When the "Click to show menu" option is enabled, moving the mouse on the Monitor page should show the cursor even though clicking is required
