Hey everyone ... I've been working on the Pushrod project for Rust, and I ended up stopping work for the past few months for a variety of reasons. Lack of interest was one of the largest reasons.
As I look back over the progress I made, I decided that trying it twice was enough to convince me to stop and take a step back and look over what I did.
I'm trying to keep the library as simple as possible: use a common event structure and loop, no object orientation/classes, strictly simple Rust.
There _was_ a GUI working group, but it disbanded pretty quickly. I'm personally not surprised, I saw a lot of infighting just like I saw with GTK and Qt.
My question is - if I bother working on the GUI for a third time, is there enough interest to maintain it (ie. will anyone actually use it), and is there any reason for me to do so? I know quite a lot about GUIs, especially from the ground up, but I need to get more experience with Rust.
Thoughts?
