    I think it's worth reminding people about the awesomeness of tagged template literals on Lit Launch Day. This is a huge part of why Lit is so fast:

    People often ask how lit-html works because it looks like it's just doing string building, and it's a bit unintuitive that it could be so fast. Basically, tagged template literals are amazing. This is the key behavior in JavaScript to understand, the rest flows from there.

    Personally excited about the 🍪 proposal for partitioned cookies, and not just for the tasty puns. This would give sites an opt-in route to still have those critical cross-site embeds, resources, APIs, services, etc. but *without* the cross-site tracking!

    The current state of cross-site cookies allowing tracking across sites moves to a partitioned model with the appropriately named "Partitioned" attribute. You can have cross-site cookies, but they can't communicate across partitions.

    A helpful thread by from the Google FLoC team in which he debunks some of the misconceptions people have about FLoC. No, the browser does _not_ use every. single. page. that you visit to calculate your cohort. (Disclosure: Initially, I misunderstood this, too.)

    Wow there is a lot of incorrect information about FLoC out there today! Many people complaining that it's based on scooping up your data on all sites, which is extremely not true.

    ⚠️ I’ve confirmed with Google folks that the `<meta>` tag way of opting your website out of Google’s FLoC network does _not_ work. The HTTP header approaches for the different servers mentioned in ⁦⁩’s guide are currently the _only_ opt-out.
