    Do you know that in Malaysia, films for public viewing go thru a 'double process of censorship' whereby it is subject to cuts PLUS age classification. Some even say triple censorship because TV stations may also impose further cuts.

    FOUR MORE ACTIVISTS QUESTIONED OVER CHILLI AND THINNER On 6 July, the police summoned four activists - Sevan Doraisamy, Kua Kia Soong and Mohammad Alshatri from Suara Rakyat Malaysia (SUARAM), and Sharon Wah from Misi Solidariti - to assist them in their investigation into a short animation that depicted alleged police brutality. This is the same investigation that saw Freedom Film Network’s (FFN) office and illustrator Amin Landak's home raided by the police last week. FFN director Anna Har and Amin were questioned as well over "Chilli Powder & Thinner". Like Anna and Amin, the four activists are being investigated under Section 500 of the Penal Code for criminal defamation, Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act for improper use of internet facilities and services, and Section 505 of the Penal Code for making a statement conducing to public mischief.

    If you haven't watch this, please do so, and with a lot of mental preparation. As one of the outcasts of this society, we want to stand in solidarity with many victims that died in custody, some of them belongs to the queer community too.

    Based on a real testimony, "Chili Powder and Thinner" tells the story of three Malaysian boys who are stopped by police on the roadside and the horrors that will change their lives forever.
