    For every user of automated code formatters like Python's black, I've sent feedback to GitHub to support git blame's --ignore-revs-file feature so we could ignore certain commits from GitHub's blame view. Please feel free to upvote it!

    I'd often hear folks saying that they don't do "squash commits" or full blown "black formatting" because they want to preserve git history surrounding the change. If such history is important, then shouldn't it be documented some other way instead of in git log message? 🤔🤨
