alexandrosstergiou/README.md

Hi there 👋

I am currently a postdoctoral Research Associate at Bristol University's Visual Information Laboratory (VIL) working with prof. Dima Damen on video understanding. I did my PhD at Utrecht University's Department of Information and Computing Science. The topic of my thesis was on Machine Learning and Computer Vision for human action and interaction recognition in everyday social settings, supervised by dr. Ronald Poppe and prof. Remco C. Veltkamp. During my time in Utrecht I have also worked on improving the efficiency and explainabilty of spatio-temporal deep learning models, for scene understanding and classification of videos.
