Node.js is a tool for executing JavaScript in a variety of environments. JavaScript had humble beginnings as a language that lived only in web browsers, but the Node.js project has expanded its reach and helped make it the most popular programming language in the world. Node.js extends the creative potential of people with web development experience, enabling a new generation of developers to create servers, command-line tools, desktop apps, and even robots.

Describe the bug
During development, I want to validate localhost as a correct URL, but to do so I need to add require_tld:false.
This forces me to make require_tld variable based on the environment, since I want to check for TLDs in production environment.

I think you should check the whitelist before checking if it's a IP or FQDN here:

Describe the bug

I've built the verdaccio/verdaccio:local local image (Windows 10 latest, Docker Desktop) but cannot build the v4/5 reverse_proxy docker-examples.

To Reproduce

  1. cd verdaccio && pnpm docker

  2. cd verdaccio\docker-examples\v4\reverse_proxy\nginx\relative_path\ OR
    cd verdaccio\docker-examples\v5\reverse_proxy\nginx_relative\

  3. docker-compose up

Context

This isn't really a feature request, as what I need is possible with nock as-is. But I spent several hours searching, reading old issues and searching through the source code to find the solution, so I thought this might help others.

I am testing code that accesses a service that sets the statusMessage of the response, as well as the statusCode. I am using nock to mock the server
