    The Git index is a critical data structure in Git, but it can be very large in monorepos. It has been a performance bottleneck for years, but we recently found a way to shrink it: the sparse index.

    We improved repo invites and shipped three small changes to make them easier to discover: One, navigating to a private repo with a pending invite no longer ends in a 404 🥳 but prompts you to accept the invitation.
