    I've just uploaded 5.2.0RC1 to PECL and tagged it on GitHub. This release introduces experimental support for Redis Sentinel, lots of bug fixes, and a major improvement to persistent connections.

    PhpRedis 5.0.2 is up on and Mostly fixes in this release. PhpRedis will no longer segfault when caching cluster slots, and a regression on connecting to high ports has been fixed.

    We had it in a holding pattern for some time, but msgpack serialization was just merged into the main development branch. This is a very useful feature, especially if you use Redis LUA scripts. cc:

    OK users, PHP5 is dead. 💀 Our PHP7 only branch + CLUSTER SLOT caching has been rebased into develop. 4.2.1 can still be found under the `legacy` branch but we don't plan on updating it. cc:

    We're releasing 4.3.0 (last version supporting PHP5) in the next day or so. Once released, we'll merge the PHP7 only branch with connection pooling + slot caching into develop and forget PHP5 ever existed 🙃 cc:

    Just found that recommends to use predis as client for PHP but doesn't mention anything about phpredis which is much faster and supports all latest features like Streams CC
